Asbestos and Mold

Do not disturb suspected asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). Common ACMs include popcorn ceilings, floor tiles, pipe insulation, and vermiculite insulation.

If you suspect asbestos, note it in the report and recommend testing by a certified asbestos professional. Never collect asbestos samples.

When visible mold is present, document it with photos and recommend a mold inspection and testing by a qualified professional.

Wear a respirator (N95 minimum) when near suspected mold or asbestos-containing materials.

Inform the client and agent immediately if significant mold growth or suspected asbestos is discovered.
