Gas Leaks

If you smell gas (rotten egg odor) at any point during an inspection, stop immediately and evacuate the property.

Do not turn on or off any electrical switches, lights, or appliances if a gas leak is suspected.

Use a combustible gas detector to check connections at the water heater, furnace, range, and dryer.

Report any suspected gas leaks to the client, agent, and the local gas utility company immediately.

Do not re-enter the property until the gas company has cleared it as safe.
