Ladder and Roof Safety
Always position your ladder on stable, level ground and verify all locks are secured before climbing.
Apply the 4-to-1 rule: position the base one foot away from the wall for every four feet of ladder height.
Maintain three points of contact at all times while climbing or working on a ladder.
Assess roof conditions carefully before walking — avoid wet, icy, or structurally unsound surfaces.
Use harnesses and fall protection equipment on steep or high roofs. Never walk a roof you are not confident is safe.
Your safety is our priority — taking these steps can prevent dangerous situations during your inspections.
