Be aware of your surroundings when arriving at and leaving a property. Note exits and escape routes.

If the property is occupied by someone other than the client or agent, verify their identity before proceeding.

Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong about a situation, leave and contact the office.

Do not leave personal belongings, tools, or equipment unattended at the inspection site.

Lock your vehicle at all times during inspections. Keep valuable equipment out of sight.
