Solar Panel Safety
Solar panels are always energized when exposed to light. Never touch solar panel wiring, connectors, or inverters.
Do not walk on solar panels or place equipment on them. They are fragile and can crack under weight.
Inspect solar installations from the ground using binoculars or a drone whenever possible.
If roof access is necessary near solar panels, maintain at least 3 feet of clearance from all panel edges and wiring.
Document the solar system type (grid-tied, off-grid, battery backup) and note any visible damage to panels, racking, or conduit.
Your safety is our priority — taking these steps can prevent dangerous situations during your inspections.
