Book NowWhat We Inspect
Wind mitigation inspections evaluate how well your home can withstand high winds and storms. A certified inspector examines key structural elements for wind-resistant features and vulnerabilities.
Roof Construction
Roof decking attachment, roof-to-wall connections, roof shape and covering materials.
Wall Integrity
Wall construction type, bracing, and structural connections that resist wind forces.
Openings Protection
Windows, doors, and skylights evaluated for impact resistance, shutters, or other protective measures.
Building Attachments
Hurricane straps, clips, and other connectors that secure the structure against uplift forces.
Why Get a Wind Mitigation Inspection?

How Wind Mitigation Credits Are Calculated
The OIR-B1-1802 wind mitigation form documents six specific attributes of your home's construction that insurance companies use to calculate premium credits. The better your home performs on these attributes, the lower your insurance premium. Noble's inspectors document every item on the form with photographs accepted by all Florida carriers.
- Roof shape: hip roofs earn the highest credits; gable roofs earn less
- Roof deck attachment: the nailing pattern and nail size of your roof sheathing
- Roof-to-wall connection: straps, clips, and toenails — straps earn the best credits
- Roof covering: year installed and Florida Building Code compliance status
- Opening protection: impact-rated windows, doors, and garage doors
- Secondary water resistance: self-adhering underlayment beneath the roof covering
Most Florida homeowners who schedule a wind mitigation inspection discover credits they were not receiving — because their insurer did not have documentation of their home's features. The typical wind mitigation inspection costs less than one month's insurance savings.
Wind mitigation inspections are available for any home in Florida. They take approximately 45–60 minutes and do not require utilities to be on. Reports are delivered the same day and are valid for 5 years from the inspection date. Noble also offers combination bookings with 4-point inspections for maximum value — one visit, two insurance-required reports. To schedule, call (832) 551-1397 or book online.
